I know summer is not here yet, but I like to plan all the neat and cost effective things I can do with the kids over the summer. AMC Theaters are playing $1.00 movies this summer and there is a whole schedule already listed. Click on the link above for more details.

RICHMOND GOOD OLD DAYS FESTIVAL

I just have to mention Good Old Days, for any local or metro detroit readers. This will be the 45th annual Richmond Good Old Days Festival. There is so much to do for the family all weekend long. Saturday highlights are the childrens parade at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street and the fireworks show at 10:00p.m and Sunday is the GREAT MICHIGAN PARADE, which starts at 1:30 p.m.

Our family has been out here in Richmond for about 5 years now and enjoy this weekend very much. The children look forward to the parade every year. I remember our first year out here I wondered why I saw so many chairs lined up on Main St. the night before. Well, everybody picks their spot on Saturday by putting their chair out along Main St.

It is GREAT fun for the whole family and if you have not experienced it, come make new traditions.

FUN MICHIGAN WEEKEND AHEAD

Another fun option this weekend is the Woodward Dream Cruise. You can enjoy 16 miles of vintage vehicles and hotrods up and down Woodward Avenue. If you have not yet brought the kids to this event I highly recommend this experience. 136th ANNUAL ARMADA FAIR

The "Best little country fair in Michigan" the Armada Fair will run August 12-17.
