MEIJER WEEK OF JAN 25TH

This week there are a few good deals at Meijer worth mentioning, I haven't ventured out to Kroger yet this week, so I will update on that later this week. Anyhow here are some deals I scored at Meijer.....

Pepperidge Farm swirl bread (reg $3.59) on sale for $1.79 (use .50 coupon January insert)= .79 I stocked up on three of these and put two in the freezer, as I had three coupons.

Palmolive dish soap $1.29 (use.50 coupon Dec insert)= .29 dish soap.

Eckrich sausage $1.65(use $1.00 off 2 January insert)=$2.30 for 2 packs. (think Big Game Day)

Nabisco crackers 2 for $4.00 (use $2.oo off 2 coupon January insert)= 2 for $2.00 this was a great deal you can get Sociables, Wheat Thins, Triscuits, Better Cheddar etc..

I thougth it would be fun to list some frugal recipes later this week as I have picked up a few family favorites along the way. Stay tuned ..................

2009 ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS

Im just curious if many of you readers get the Entertainment book? We were lucky enough to get one from a dear friend, for FREE. So far I believe it has almost paid for itself. There were 2 "free crazy bread coupons " which we have already used and there are plenty of $5.00 off Meijer coupons if you spend $50.00.

I believe they are in the $30.00 range, but I do believe it is a good buy. We have used several Subway and McDonald coupons already.

So im just curious who has one of these books and what do you think about it?

Cottenelle is on sale for .99 at Kroger again and there are .50 coupons making these 4 pack of toilet papers FREE

Also Johnson Buddie Bars(baby soap) are a little over $1.00 there is a $3.00 off 3 coupon making 3 of them FREE or pennies!

.25 MUSTARD AT MEIJER

Okay, let's just say im glad I stocked up on certain items last week when Meijer had awesome deals.

There was nothing that got me to excited this week, however French's mustard and spicy mustard are on sale for $1.25. There were (2)coupons for .50 in Sunday's paper, making them .25 a piece. It is a nice week to stock up on mustard if you have multiple coupons (think summer bbq's:)

GET YOU SUNDAY PAPERS

Don't forget to get your papers today. There are 3 inserts and lots of great high value coupons.

Remember to take advantage of most FREE deals, it is best to have more than one coupon.

For example if Chex mix is $1.00 and you have a .50 coupon (Kroger, Meijer) will double that, so in return you get FREE Chex mix.
Now if you had say 3 papers you would get 3 FREE Chex mix.

Some people argue about not wanting to spend money on multiple papers, but more than likely the papers pay for themselves.

FREE OR ALMOST FREE SUAVE HAIR PRODUCTS

This week at Kroger Suave shampoo and conditioner are on sale for $1.00 each! Back in Dec. there was .50 coupons for Suave products making these FREE.

If you don't have this coupon there was a .50 off 2 in last weekend's paper. That would make these 2 for $1.00.

Just for the record, I have NOT paid for shampoo- conditioner this past year. When deals like this come up for FREE I typically have multiple coupons for them (from several coupon inserts)

I just happen to have 4, so again, I will be restocking the hair shelf at my home, never having to run out and pay for shampoo im out of.

This week at CVS they are running a special on Revlon make-up, Buy one get one FREE.
There is a $2.00 coupon from Sunday's paper, I also have a $2.00 off coupon from the CVS machine. Depending on what I buy I will spend maybe a few bucks and get 2 Revlon products. Hope you all have one of those CVS coupons as well.

90 % OFF AT CVS

I just visited CVS this morning while I was waiting for the kiddo's to get out of Sunday school. They have 90% off of Christmas stuff. I picked up lots of wrapping paper for .29 and lots of other goodies for next year. My store still had quite alot to choose from. Check out your CVS, you will be so happy you did next year at wrapping time:)

COTTENELLE TOILET PAPER FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual Kroger runs there 4 pack Cottenelle toilet paper for .99. There are always .50 coupons in the weekend inserts making them FREE.

I have been doing this all December and so far in January. It is not the brand I am used to buying, but not spending a dime on toilet paper has been nice.

CHRISTMAS CLEARANCE

Just a reminder this is a great week to pick up some "picked over" Christmas stuff. Most stores are running at least 75% off (there is already Valentine stuff up) anticipating getting rid of this years load. Some stores are at 90%. This is great to pick up stuff for teachers or get pretty bows and ribbon for under $1.00, even Christmas cards. Lots of it is picked over, but let's face it 50 % off is not as exciting as 75-90% off.

Remember if you start picking things up throughout the year and put them aside you will never have to "buy into" the holiday shopping madness that begins in November every year. You will be that much closer to being done.
